“The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.” — Psalms 9:9 (KJV)
In today’s world, we’re watching something ancient play out in real time.
Scripture — once a source of truth, justice, and healing — is being twisted to support control, fear, and silence.
In the End Times, it’s not just people rising up against each other. It’s doctrine being used as a weapon. And the victims? The poor. The hurting. The broken. The voices without power.
Let’s be clear: this is not what God intended.

📖 God Has Always Been on the Side of the Oppressed
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible consistently makes one thing known — God stands with the oppressed, not the oppressors.
Here’s the Word they conveniently leave out of their sermons:
- “He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.” — Proverbs 14:31
- “Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” — Isaiah 1:17
- “He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.” — Psalms 72:4
This isn’t hidden. It’s not complicated. But it is inconvenient to those who benefit from twisting the truth.
🚫 The Bible Was Never Meant to Justify Abuse or Slavery
Let’s be clear: nowhere in Scripture does God endorse the cruel, dehumanizing slavery that defined the transatlantic slave trade or modern-day systemic oppression. What people have done in the name of God is not the same as what God actually said.
Yes, the Bible speaks of servants and masters — but it also sets boundaries, demands respect, and condemns abuse.
“Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.” — Ephesians 6:5–9 (KJV)
👉 This isn’t a call to abuse or domination. It’s a command to serve well and treat others with fairness.
👉 God commands masters to be forbearing — that means kind, patient, and without threats.
👉 And He makes this crystal clear: “There is no respect of persons with Him.”
That means God does not favor the rich over the poor, or the powerful over the powerless.
🙌 Even Abraham Treated His Servants with Honor
The father of two major world religions — Abraham — gave us a living example of what servant leadership should actually look like.
In Genesis 24, Abraham sends his most trusted servant to find a wife for his son Isaac. And what does he do?
- He gives him full authority to make decisions.
- He provides everything he needs: camels, riches, and freedom to act.
- He treats him with dignity, trust, and respect.
That is nothing like how enslaved Africans were treated in American history.
They were given the bare minimum — just enough to survive, but never to thrive.
👉 Slave owners twisted Scripture to justify oppression.
👉 They did not follow Abraham’s example.
👉 And they ignored God’s command in Ephesians 6.
God is not pleased with that.
🔥 In the End Times, Truth Will Be Twisted
These last days are marked by deception — not just from outside the church, but from inside it too. From pulpits. Platforms. Institutions. Movements.
“And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against… those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless.” — Malachi 3:5
“Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.” — Jeremiah 5:25
They twist truth for status.
They cherry-pick Scripture for profit.
But God doesn’t miss it. And He will judge it.
🕊️ God Still Heals, Delivers, and Sets Free
When Jesus walked into the temple and read from the scroll, He declared His purpose — and He hasn’t changed it:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” — Luke 4:18 (KJV)
Jesus did not come to control people. He came to set them free.
He didn’t come to empower the rich. He came to lift up the lowly.
He didn’t come to silence pain. He came to heal it.
💡 Don’t Be Fooled by Spiritual Propaganda
- When they skip verses that challenge their power — that’s not preaching. That’s manipulation.
- When they protect systems instead of people — they’ve lost the heart of God.
- When they say “be silent and submit” without ever saying “seek justice, relieve the oppressed” — they’ve twisted the Word.
Let no one fool you.
“The LORD executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners.” — Psalms 146:7 (KJV)
God is still a refuge.
He still breaks oppressors.
And His Word still sets people free.
